Weight Loss Medication in McAllen, TX: Online Care from a Texas-Licensed Physician
McAllen, in Hidalgo County, is one of the largest cities in the Rio Grande Valley. If you want prescription weight-loss care from a physician who focuses on obesity medicine, you can see one by video from home.
Why McAllen patients choose video visits
The Valley is a long way from San Antonio, and many people balance work, family and long commutes. A video visit fits around your schedule and removes the drive, with monthly follow-ups the same way.
What care looks like for McAllen patients
- Book a $99 video visit and complete a short health history.
- Meet Dr. Diala Alatassi, MD, DABIM, DABOM, FACP by video. She is board-certified in Internal Medicine and Obesity Medicine and licensed in Texas. You need to be in Texas at the time of the visit.
- Decide on a plan together. That may include an FDA-approved medication when appropriate, plus nutrition and activity guidance. Not everyone qualifies for a prescription.
- Fill your prescription at a pharmacy you choose in McAllen or nearby. We do not dispense medication.
- Follow up monthly for dose changes, side effects and progress.
